Artist Statement
I am a Visual Artist with a concentration in sculpture, photography, & digital art
My work is Photographed dioramas of non-binary characters and how they live day to day as the 'other' interacting with people, objects, and the space they inhabit. The work involves the creation of these relatable rooms filled with characters and scenes that are lit by LEDs and other light fixtures. The subject of the work allows for the conversation of what life is like living non-binary. It shows the struggles and hardships of trying to fit in as well as their moments of contemplation and reflection.
